SHOULD RAQUEL PEMPENGCO FILE A LIBEL CASE AGAINST JAKE ZYRUS & MMK?
Hell broke loose after the airing of the controversial story of Jake Zyrus, formerly known as Charice Pempengco, in the longest running drama anthology show, Maalala Mo Kaya entitled "Jumper".
The story depicts the hardships and triumphs of Jake Zyrus singing career and his family relationships. Based on the story, as told by Jake, his mother, Raquel Pempengco, physically abused him and made him enter a lot of singing contest. Moreover, when Raquel squandered the hard earned money he sent while he was abroad working as an international singer.
Aside from the physical abuse that Raquel has inflicted on Jake, the story also tackled the verbal abuse that the international singer has allegedly gone through with his mother.
But everything was vehemently denied by Raquel during an interview with PEP.ph.
According to Raquel, she has already sought the help of a lawyer and she is planning to file a libel case against MMK and her child, Jake Zyrus. Since Jake was the storyteller, she believes that he should also be punishable by the law.
The said case will be filed by Raquel within the week. Raquel believed that her image and reputation as a person and a mother were tainted and ruined by the said MMK episode.
“Sobrang nasira ang kredibilidad ko bilang tao at bilang ina.
“Buong mundo ang nakaalam, hindi lang buong Pilipinas.
“Kulang na lang sana ay pinatay na ako ni Charice.”
“Maraming makakapagpatunay na malayo sa katotohanan ang istoryang inilahad at inilabas.”
However, Thess Pineda, Raquel's mother confirmed the truthfulness and credibility of the Jake's story.
